If you want to adjust everything evenly, leave the masking slider at 0. For example, you can selectively increase the contrast in areas with high contrast (i.e., eyes or foliage) while avoiding areas you’d like to leave smooth (i.e., skin or sky). Masking- gives you control over which areas are adjusted.So if you want your photo to look natural, keep it below 50%. Setting either slider to a high level can lead to significant color and contrast distortion. This adjustment works hand in hand with the Sharpen slider, and adjusting one will substantially impact the other. A smaller radius affects smaller details.
